Grouplove - Colours
I am making my goals this year. Last year was amazingly hectic and wonderfully loaded with clients. I think it’s important for me to have some goals and think about my career because I love what I do and I don’t want to get burnt out. I’m not looking to be a “retired professional photographer” in this decade.
INSPIRATION PROJECT I want to work in a personal project big or small. I’m thinking video, but I will have to sleep on it. Some of my best work has been where I was truly motivated artistically. That is exactly what I want the world to see.
WORK WITH ANOTHER ARTIST I would love to work with another photographer or aspiring artist. I am a self-taught photographer and I take inspiration from art theory and mother nature. It would be awesome to create a different balance and work with someone that is maybe more technical or completely different (stylist, makeup artist, etc.)
SAVE THOSE PENNIES I swear there is a million different workshop classes and books out there for photographer now. I honesty can’t stand for someone to tell me what to do, but there are a few all-inclusive work shops out there I could truly benefit from. I don’t want a class, but an active learning workshop with elite professionals. If you can’t grow in your field of expertise then whats the point?
These goals are vague, but I am not one to be tide down to specifics. I have some unique project in the works already. I will keep everyone updated on those too. Very exciting!
A photo from today! That’s me, taken by my intern Jennifer. Her blog: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Die-Liebe-Photography/239264519438749
My kids all dressed up for a wedding and I told them to give me a pose in their cute outfits. They are pros!
